Apr 7, 2016 · For issue 2; I have the same problem. Apparently it's a common issue. The culprit is a cracked breather hose I believe. For some reason the GP pulls air under the engine, so an exhaust smell at idle is no surprise. You can stop this I guess by putting recirc on and then opening a window. Also the start stop turns it back on if you have heating or lights on or stereo on relatively loud so it doesn't drain the battery too much. Completely normal. OP. First thing to check is the relay - could be sticking closed. Check the bulbs are the right wattage , relays have little or no extra capacity these days and larger current causes excessive arcing on the contacts and welds them shut. OP.
